Happy Monday, Commanders! You may recall that last week we postponed version 1790 to make sure that the patch met our high standards of quality; on Wednesday, March 22, we will be releasing version 1805, which is an updated and polished version of the 1790 patch notes. 

There are some differences from last week's notes (most notably gear changes), so be sure to read through them! 
 

Gameplay Notes

Unranked Draft update

  • The unranked draft sequence now allows players to select any of their three saved squad loadouts to bring into the match. This was one of our most requested additions from players, so let us know what you think of it!
    • Players have up to 1 minute to select and lock in their squads. The timer will end once both players have locked in their squads. (This timer also accounts for time passed while the draft is initiating, and while the dropships are flying into place)
    • After players have locked in their squads, another 60 second countdown timer will start – this countdown timer will update to 10 seconds remaining if all players click ‘Ready Up’

Account Settings / Account Rename

  • All players have been given 1 name token to change their account name if they wish to do so
  • This setting can be found by clicking on the Player Portrait and navigating to ‘Account Settings’. Type in your desired name, (no more than 16 characters allowed), and click ‘SAVE NAME’

Gear Changes

  • Assault Plasma
    • The gunner will now halt orders after using the active ability, instead of resuming movement. Now the gunner will start AA immediately after activation is complete
  • Scatter Laser
    • The gunner will now halt orders after using the active ability, instead of resuming movement. Now the gunner will start AA immediately after activation is complete
  • Scatter Blaster
    • The gunner will now halt orders after using the active ability, instead of resuming movement. Now the gunner will start AA immediately after activation is complete
  • Ground Pounder
    • Ability damage increased from 150 to 250
  • Pulse Cannons
    • Cooldown reduced from 60s to 40s
    • Ability damage increased from 100 to 200
  • Surge Amplifier
    • Cooldown reduced from 35s to 28s
  • Cleansing Cells
    • Debuff immunity increased from 3s to 4.5s
  • Null Field
    • DPS reduced from 50/60/80 to 30
  • Quantum Mire
    • Recovery time reduced from 1000ms to 600ms
  • Inhibitor Field
    • Recovery time reduced from 1000ms to 350ms
  • Nanite Wall
    • Duration reduced from 8s to 6s
    • Cast Range changed from 40m to --/--/23/28/33m
    • Recovery time reduced from 1300ms to 900ms
  • Reconstructive Maneuver
    • Cast Range changed from 40m to --/--/20/30/40m
  • Dyno Vortex
    • Pull radius changed 20/25/30 to 25
    • Unlock Level raised from 2 to 3
  • Grav Engine
    • Pull radius change from 35 to 30
    • Unlock level raised from 4 to 5
    • Now applies a 2-second -30% Armor debuff to units that are pulled, applied after the pull is complete
  • One of Us
    • One of Us bonus is conveyed to any summoned Kavash minions, such as ones from Lapse Generator
    • Gear card text updated to mention this new effect

Pilot Changes

  • Plutus’ Special Move: Paradigm Shift 
    • Cooldown reduced from 60s to 40s
    • Cast Range increased from 25 to 35m

Miscellaneous Notes

  • Cloning Laser
    • Gear Card text has been updated to mention that destroyed turrets cannot clone themselves
  • Power Shunts
    • Gear Card text has been updated to mention that the ability cooldown cannot be modified
  • Landfall
    • Gear Card text has been updated to mention the windup before the jump
  • Turbine’s Special Move: Stoke the Fire
    • Ability text has been updated to mention HP Drain instead of Self Damage. Text also updated to mention drain cannot be modified by things like armor, etc.
  • Various pieces of gear have had their builder FX and SFX updated

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash that would occur when Palm Rocketing a Vision Tower or Uplink while tank was rooted
  • The navmesh on A Surprise Encounter has been updated to fix an issue where units could clip inside of map elements
  • Fixed an issue where the minimap on Mind the Gap did not display cross/health icons in the dropships
  • Fixed an issue where the Kavash Soldier auto attack animation did not transition back to an idle animation immediately after completing
  • Fixed an issue where pressing Tab in the Password Protect field of a Custom Lobby would move the cursor to the Custom Lobby name field and not tab back to the Password Protect text field if pressed again
  • Fixed an issue where Fog of War controls were featured in Infestation Replays. This toggle is now hidden in Infestation replays 
  • Fixed an issue where the Searching bar overlapped the ‘Return to Builder’ button in Sandbox Mode
  • Fixed an issue where the Dropship Vision was misplaced on Mind the Gap
  • Fixed an issue where Icebreaker’s map name featured (2v2) in the Draft Sequence
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Current Squad’ button did not play hover or select SFX
  • Fixed an issue where Summoner’s Cocoon was not stacking properly until the original stack was removed
  • Fixed an issue where Transmission SFX for cards was not matching the movement of the tiles
  • Fixed an issue where no SFX played when selecting a Pilot in the Builder
  • Fixed an issue where Transmissions did not play hover SFX
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Close’ button on the Transmission Details panel did not play click SFX
  • Fixed an issue where 16 character names were cut off in the Custom Lobby screen and Friends List 
  • Fixed an issue where Daredevil Recon’s Orbital Strike did not play SFX when activated in the Builder
  • Fixed an issue where Quantum Leap would fail to teleport to targets that were off the navmesh. Now it searches for a valid position 30 meters around the target to teleport to
  • Fixed an issue where Landfall would continue its windup after being rooted. Being rooted will now interrupt Landfall but the cooldown for Landfall won’t be consumed since its being interrupted before the cast point
  • Fixed an issue where Scoring Points and Battle Tactics would show match score and timer UI elements during the elevator sequence
  • Fixed an issue where Crazed Banshee’s targeting FX would persist on the target if the projectile expired before impact
  • Fixed an issue where the Transmissions list was partially cut off if the player had more than 4 transmissions
  • Fixed an issue where Crazed Banshee’s projectile would disappear but continue to show propellant flames
  • More minor language localization fixes have been added

Known Issues

  • There are known issues with words bleeding outside of their bounding boxes for every language other than English. Fixes are on the way
  • Locking Observer slots in Custom Matches only works when both slots are empty
  • The Private Match setting only works when the game is already created, so someone can join in-between
  • Hive Link does not have a cast ring around hives to show where the ability can be cast
  • The ‘Easy Pickings’ achievement does not count Hives killed by a teammate towards the goal
  • Global Chat does not reflect your changed name until you have restarted the game
