During his nine years at Big Huge Games Ted ensured the visuals were second to none. In the development of Rise of Nations, RoN: Thrones and Patriots, and Rise of Legends, Ted implemented a scheduling system that allowed existing artists to work to their strengths while allowing for seamless integration of new team members. On KoA: Reckoning, Ted was named project art director and led the game pitch to both EA and 38 Studios. As the first employee of Sparkypants, Ted spearheaded the art creation process, often working in concert with external dev partners such as Spryfox in the creation of new IPs. Ted then released a board game, Rivet Wars, which was, at the time, the most successful board game on Kickstarter. On this RTS- inspired project, Ted coordinated a pipeline of globally outsourced artists, producers and designers with final production in China. In addition to his game development work, Ted has taught at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and his artwork has appeared in several magazines and books.
